The characteristics of fraudulent websites are as follows:
・Products are sold at lower prices than on legitimate sales websites.
・Only bank transfer (prepayment) is accepted as a payment method.
・The bank account name does not match the operating company, or is a personal name.
・Company name and telephone number are not listed.
・The address is nonsensical or non-existent.
・"Display based on the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions" is not provided.
・Japanese sentences and Japanese in response emails from the site are unnatural and contain many errors. (Especially in shop usage guides, payment method explanations, etc.)
In the event that you are unfortunately affected, please organize the circumstances of your purchase, prepare proof of payment (transfer), and consult with the cybercrime consultation desk at your nearest police station or a consumer center.
Additionally, if you made a bank transfer or credit card payment, please report the damage to the financial institution to which you transferred the money or your credit card company.
